Collpas Tambopata Inn
Collpas Tambopata Inn is the closest eco-tourism lodge running by locals, it is located 2 hours south from Puerto Maldonado in the limit of the Tambopata National Reserve next to the Bahuaja Sonene National Park “1.5 hour by road and 30minutes by river” or 7 hours up the Tambopata River from Puerto Maldonado “sometimes an option”. Enjoy an incredible opportunity to see wildlife: 22% possibilities to see jaguars and 18% possibilities to see Tapir and 8 % possibilities to spot a Sloth.
We are the CLOSEST lodge to the great Macaw clay lick Chuncho, we own the tallest Canopy tower in the region and the only one with a swimming pool along the tambopata River.
The lodge has 19 private rooms all with private bathroom and shower, 5 bungalows designed with local architecture and built with materials from the area, all of them have jungle views otherwise.
Around the lodge there is a network of trails of over 42 km that passes through our protected primary forest, which provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife observation.

Transfer Times
• At arrival: We can start our excursions any time, usually at 9:30am BUT sometimes later at noon or even later when you arrive at the airport, there is going to be a local guide waiting for you with a sign and your name on it. If you arrive by bus, it is usually in the morning and we will be waiting for you from 6:00am. We only need your full name and your arrival time.
• At departure: We usually come back at around 4:00pm, BUT if you have to catch a flight earlier than 4:00pm, it is NOT a problema, we can bring you 2 hours before you catch your plane back to Cusco o Lima.
What to bring in your journey
Good binoculars, Camera gear, Tight-weave, light colored, long cotton or lightweight, synthetic pants, Long sleeved, tight-weave, light colored cotton shirts, Swiming clothes, Ankle-high hiking boots and sneakers, Flashlight with batteries, Sunblock lotion, Sunglasses, Broad-brimmed hat, Rain suit or poncho, Insect repellent, Small denomination bills, Small Day pack.
All our visitors will be able to enjoy our services including transport to Collpas Tambopata Inn by road and boat. It also includes full meals and lodging, all the jungle activities are included, the menu is and specific plates are assigned for each day served on a buffet table, vegetarians and vegan are very welcome in our lodge with a specific diet, main dish, dessert and beverage. The menu is healthy, balanced and made with local products (some from our own plantations).
The energy at the lodge is supplied by a generator from 5:00pm ton 10:00pm and also in the main areas by solar panels. They provide enough energy to have lights the 24hours in our lobby and common areas. Electronic devices charging however are limited to two periods of time per day: From 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 10pm.
