We will start the trip to chuncho macaw clay lick 1 full day at 3:30am from your Hotel 1.5-hour car and a 1hour boat journey to the best Macaw Clay lick. “Chuncho”

Chuncho Macaw Clay lick is a unique for Parrots & Macaws! On a good clear morning, dozens of large macaws and hundreds of parrots congregate on this large river bank in a raucous and colorful spectacle that inspired a National Geographic cover story. Discretely located fifty to eighty meters from the cliff, we will observe Green-winged, Scarlet, Blue-and-yellow Macaws and several species of smaller parrots descend to ingest clay. Outings are at dawn when the lick is most active.

Wildlife: groups of Capybara “The largest roudenton earth” is easy to see everyday as river turttles, alligators and several bird species along the tambopata River.

A 20 % of probabilities to spor a Tapir and a 10% of jaguar make this experience more exiting .

Before lunch we will take you to the tallest canopy tower in the middle of the jungle, A great place to see how far does the Amazon basin goes. Our Canopy bridge is in the way :-)

After lunch that will be served in our lodge Collpas Tambopata Inn, We will propose to go for an adventure, we will go for Kayaking in the river or the stream depending on your expectation, is a nice activity also with big chances to see Capibaras, turttles and river birds during this afternoon activity before we start our way back.

At around 4:00pm will start our way back to Puerto Maldonado, First 15 minutes by boat and then 2 hours by car to your hotel or the bus station…Time to say good bye.
